The Journey
My journey began with Operations Research at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), where I earned my PhD studying how to solve complex scheduling and optimization problems at scale. That foundation—mathematical rigor, system thinking, and deep problem formulation—has shaped everything I have built since.
What began as theoretical optimization evolved into predictive analytics for manufacturing, then machine learning for industrial forecasting, then computer vision for satellite imagery and infrastructure. Each chapter taught me that building AI that actually works in production is a fundamentally different challenge from building AI that works in a notebook.
At Cyient, I built a 100-person AI organization and led delivery of computer vision platforms for automotive, utilities, and aerospace clients. At Thyssenkrupp Elevator, I built a predictive maintenance platform for 200,000 elevators. At Pratt & Whitney, I built prognostic engines for aeroengines. At Legato Health, I led the AI Tower building HealthOS—a multimodal AI platform supporting 40M+ healthcare members.
Today at American Express, I focus on the next frontier: Enterprise AI Platforms powered by Generative AI, Agentic AI, and GPU infrastructure. My work sits at the intersection of deep technical architecture, enterprise product thinking, and AI governance.
After nearly two decades, what I believe most strongly is this: the organizations that win with AI are not the ones with the most sophisticated models. They are the ones that build AI as a scalable, governed, trusted enterprise capability.
